Beary Good

This Morning little marmot caught me. Mrs. Marmot had bought me a really really big bag of gummy bears and I like to eat them in handfulls, becuase they are good. Now I had snuck some and was carefully eatting them when little marmot sat down on my lap and looked at me. And he knew. I don't know how he knew, he just had a sense. He immediataly demanded some him self by asking for "bears, please" There was no refusing at that point, he got his bears.

Vermin

Marmots yard has alot of vermin lots lots lots. They like to eat things they are very hungry. We have Deer and Catapillars and cows and foxes and bees and bugs and lots of spiders and rocks and salamanders and cats and voles and mice and more cats and slugs and snails and worms and crickets and grasshoppers and snakes and people and birds and mountain beavers and marmots and mountain lions and hungry deer.

midnite Gardening the day after

Well Marmot decided to look at his work during the daylight hours. The result wasn't necessarily rototilling but more of a good bludgening of the grass in question. Which is a great step in the right dirrection.

Midnight Gardening

Marmot just came in from nocturnal gardening. Marmot is getting a start on next years garden by digging up some grass and rototilling it up. It isn't too bad to work on this in the middle of the night, but it is hard to see what you are doing. Thank goodness Marmot is blessed with amazing eyesight, comparable of a mole, a really good lookin mole.

Dying Plants

It appears that some of my plants are dying. First I have Banana Tree. This plant marmot bought on sale and have been able to limp it along for about a year. It did "okayish" until I repotted it, I think now it has too much room for its roots, maybeeee. But it leaves turn brown and its trunk is getting smaller, probably not a good sign. I figure it might just last another week or two or two years who knows. Maybe marmot just needs to water it more often. The other plant I don't even know what it is. Marmot is calling it a annual, becuase anything that dies this time of year can be refered to as such. It is an easy out.

Mud Mountain

Marmot continued to work on the garden. Mrs Marmot needs a place for her bulbs and Mr Marmot which is going to move his garden next year anyways and figured it would be the easiest way to get the bulbs planted gave up the garden. But since the ground is wet there, didn't want the bulbs rotting over the winter decided that a mound system would be a good idea. The Marmots don't know if it will work but what the hoooey. So me and little marmot worked with our shovels. Little nmarmot supervised. It was raining but he wouldn't let us go inside. He would say no. He also dirrected where the next shovel full of dirt should be placed. He worked on top of the mound leveling, while big marmot shoveled dirt from the outside to the middle. Mrs. marmot was the documentary crew and raking and clean up afterwords. Little marmot slid down the mountain a few times and also got mud on his pants and face.

Self Watering Pots

Marmot thought that his wife was crazy. She insisted on buying some "self wattering" pots. Marmot doesn't like to buy things just scavenge things from the woodlands for free. But she got the pots and planted one African Violet in one pot and one in a self watering pot. The pot on the left is a self watering pot. The one on the right is too, but just transplanted from a regular pot yesterday. There is a small slightly perceptable difference. So maybe I will have to re-think this Mrs Marmot crazy thing.
